In Focus: Anson Hart
From the moment I took my first steps, soccer was my heartbeat, the very essence of my existence. However, in high school, I decided to pivot, trading in my soccer cleats for track spikes. The rush of sprinting down the track, the challenge of mastering hurdles, and the sheer determination required in every race became my new focus. Athletics ran deep in my family; with my mom playing Division 1 soccer and softball at Nebraska, my sister triple-jumping at Mount Saint Mary’s University, and my father being the athletic trainer for Duke University Athletics. But as my high school years drew to a close, I knew my connection with sports couldn't end. It was then that I discovered my love for photography and graphic design. Through the lens, I found a way to capture the essence of athleticism, freezing those moments of intensity and triumph in time. Graphic design became my canvas, where I could blend my passion for sports with artistic expression, creating dynamic visuals that celebrated the spirit of competition. In this fusion of athletics and creativity, I found my calling, a way to stay deeply involved with the sports I love, and even the ones I had never watched before.
